The service

The Mesahif Database makes the manuscript Qur'an catalogue, page images and transcriptions of the Presidency of Manuscripts Institution of Türkiye (TÜYEK) available to researchers. The catalogue and search are open to everyone; saving, exporting, downloading and the AI assistant require membership.

Membership

• The details you give when registering must be accurate, and you must not share your password.
• You can delete your account at any time from your account page.
• An account may be suspended for use that breaches these terms.

Acceptable use

• Automated collection or scraping beyond the rate limits, or use that slows the service down, is not allowed.
• Trying to bypass security measures or to access someone else's account is not allowed.

Content and image rights

Image rights belong to the holding libraries. Each image's terms of use are stated in its rights information; the credit line must be given when quoting or publishing. Downloaded images may only be used under the licence accepted with the order.

AI assistant

Suggestions from the assistant are aids and never enter the catalogue without expert approval. Content sent to the assistant is transferred to the model provider abroad only with your separate explicit consent.

Liability

Catalogue information is prepared with care but is not guaranteed to be error-free; you can send corrections through the contact page.

Changes and governing law

When these terms change the text's version increases and you will be asked to accept the new text on your next visit. These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Türkiye.
